Why Apparel Design?
When I was in high school, I saw everything in black and white.
The ability to see hard cold facts simplified my ability to see things the way they were. I was originally a biology major, hence all the science coursework in my resume. After a year and some months I realized that looking at microscopes all day wasn't what I thought it would be.
One day I was perusing the Oregon State University school website and I saw an article about OSU's Apparel Design Professors, The Science of Design: OSU's High Tech Apparel Labs, and I was inspired by their work. I decided that by being an apparel major, it would enable me to be creative as well as use the science that inspired me to be a scientist.
At Oregon State University I was able to major in Apparel Design while minoring in Chemistry and Merchandising Management. Being able to choose all those options has broadened my perspective of design and apply the "Black and White" in science with the multiple facets in design.

Inspiration. Creation. Innovation.Inspiration is siphoned and organic; the human mind is constantly taking in information that can lead to innovations in the apparel industry.

BioAs a recent graduate in Apparel Design, I am interested in learning about 3D design and how it affects the apparel production processes.
